Gothia Cup:
Gothinburg, Sweden

July, 2014

We took two boys teams (U12 and U13) and four girls (U16) to play in the world's largest youth soccer tournament in Sweden; the Gothia Cup!  It was an amazing trip for all of the players, parents, and coaches to experience different cultures through playing the game.  The 13B's team had a great deal of success as we won our group beating two teams from Sweden and tying one team from Germany.  Which then we played in the "A" Playoffs and won our first game vs. a team from Kosovo in PK's.  We ended up losing to a very good team from Olympiacos (Greece) in PK's in the Round of 16.  After the Gothia Cup, we moved on to train at Danish 1st Division FCN in Copenhagen.

The purpose of the SAE Program is to provide supplemental training and tournament playing opportunities with professional coaching on a weekly/monthly basis.  Additionally, the SAE tournament team is to train in a group/team environment that consists of higher-level athletes that will continue to push each other through progressive and intense training and games. Athletes will be expected to be committed to pursue an advanced level of play through self and team training as well as compete in higher-level tournaments. SAE is highly selective in which athletes are brought into the program by invitation only. The tournament team can change based on the athletes' availability or player pool.
